We believe that great food should go hand in hand with great responsibility. When we launched our catering journey in 2012, we’ve committed not just to hosting events, but to lifting up our community. For us, every plate served, every event catered, and every meal produced is also an opportunity to give back.
We know the hospitality industry has a special privilege, and we don’t take it lightly. With the resources we have, we strive to make a positive impact, whether by giving surplus food a second life, supporting local causes, or helping build a more sustainable future for Ottawa, Gatineau, and beyond.
Partnerships That Make a Difference.
Since 2024, My Catering Group has proudly partnered with La Tablée des Chefs through the destination-led “À la Carte” food-recovery program launched by Ottawa Tourism. Together, we ensure that surplus or unused food from catered events doesn’t go to waste — instead, it’s redirected to local community organizations feeding people in need.
With over 250 hospitality establishments across Canada participating in this program, and thousands of meals being recovered and redistributed every year, we’re proud to do our part in fighting food waste and food insecurity.

La Tablée des Chefs isn’t just about food-recovery — their wider mission is to feed today, and educate tomorrow. That means supporting community organizations with nutritious meals and helping young people learn cooking and healthy-eating habits for life.

How We Put It Into Practice.

At large events, banquets, and receptions, especially those hosted at museums or large venues, our team carefully separates and packages unused food so it can be safely donated rather than wasted.

Through La Tablée des Chefs, surplus food gets redistributed to community partners that help those in need, such as shelters, community kitchens, and social-service organizations.

Whether we’re hosting corporate galas or weddings, we build menus and portions thoughtfully, balancing culinary excellence with social responsibility, to minimize waste from the start.

We share our involvement publicly, inviting clients and our audience to understand the value of sustainable catering and community support, hoping to inspire others to prioritize impact.

La Grande Tablée GALA
My Catering Group is proud to support La Grande Tablée Ottawa, a signature culinary fundraising event that brings together chefs, community leaders, partners, and guests in support of La Tablée des Chefs’ mission to fight food insecurity and empower youth through culinary education.
The 2025 gala welcomed 270 guests and raised $85,000, helping La Tablée des Chefs continue to grow its food recovery, meal preparation, and youth education initiatives throughout the Greater Ottawa region. My Catering Group is honoured to contribute to this meaningful event and the lasting impact it creates within our community.
CN CYCLE FOR CHEO
In 2025 and 2026, My Catering Group proudly sponsored the volunteer refreshments at CN Cycle for CHEO, helping fuel the 700 volunteers who make the event possible each year.
Our team prepared and served 700 breakfasts and 700 lunches, supporting the dedicated volunteers working behind the scenes throughout the day. We’re honoured to contribute to this meaningful annual fundraiser alongside the organizers, fellow sponsors, cyclists, and community members who come together in support of CHEO.
Beyond CN Cycle for CHEO, My Catering Group is also a proud supporter of the Annual CHEO Gala. We’re grateful to stand behind initiatives that raise critical funds for CHEO and help ensure children and families across our community continue to receive the care and support they need.
